  • Put the tamarind in a bowl.
  • Add 4 tablespoons of lukewarm water and soak for 30 minutes.
  • Press through a sieve (strainer) into a bowl.
  • Discard the residue.
  • Tamarind extract should be made as needed, it does not store.
