The sesame seeds and peanuts can either be dry-roasted separately in a small frying pan (skillet) for about 2 minutes, or until they change colour, or they can be fried.
If frying, heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add the sesame seeds.
Stir-fry for about 1 minute, or until they change colour.
Then, remove from the pan.
Add the peanuts to the pan.
Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes, or until they turn golden.
Transfer them to a blender.
Add the sesame seeds and the remaining ingredients.
Then season with salt and process until ground.
Grind all the ingredients together.
One can add or lessen any ingredients according to taste.
This chutney should be consumed on the day it is made.
