Keep a spoonful of the grated coconut aside for the garnish.
Then put the rest in a blender or food processor with the remaining ingredients, except the lime juice.
Season with salt.
Process, adding a little water if necessary to make a paste.
Transfer to a bowl.
Mix in the lime juice and garnish with reserved grated coconut.
This chutney should be consumed on the day it is made.
