Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons Groundnut (Peanut) oil For Frying
- 1 kg Onions (7 medium), Sliced
- 100 ml Natural (plain) yoghurt (1/2 cup)
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a kadhai, wok or deep, heavy-based pan over medium heat.
- Add the onions and fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until brown.
- Remove the onions from the pan.
- Spread them out on kitchen paper (paper towels) to drain.
- Allow to cool.
- When cool, transfer to a blender, add the yoghurt and process to make a fine paste.
- This paste can be stored for upto 3 days in the refrigerator.
