Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 2 Onions large, chopped
- 500 g Ash gourd peeled and de-seeded and cut into 5-cm / 2-inch cubes
- 4 Red chillies dried
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric ground
- Salt
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a kadhai or deep, heavy-based pan over medium heat, add the onions, and fry for about 5 minutes, or until light brown.
- Add the remaining ingredients, season with salt, and fry, stirring gently, for a further 10-12 minutes, or until the ash gourd is tender.
